ACADIA ALERT - Delayed Campus Opening (Weather)

Acadia University will delay opening campus on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 until 12:30pm due to current weather and travel conditions. All classes starting at 12:30pm and later will continue as scheduled. Conditions on campus will be assessed throughout the morning and if there is a need to remain closed a follow up message will be sent.

Employees and students are not expected to come to campus until it opens. Residences will be accessible, and Wheelock Dining Hall will be open.

Tobacco Free Initiative

As of July 1, 2006 Acadia University became a tobacco-free campus.  The University feels that having a smoke free study/work environment is enormously beneficial for all students, staff and the public.  Smoking and the exposure to second hand smoke has proven to have many negative effects on our health.  In accordance with Nova Scotia's government policies promoting smoke free workplaces and public areas Acadia is pleased to provide a tobacco free environment.
