Student Information
Your supervisor should have already submitted a signed requisition authorizing payroll to process your pay.
Social Insurance Number:
All students require a valid Canadian Social Insurance Number. Payroll will hold all requisitions until a Social Insurance Number is provided. The guidelines and application form can be located on the Service Canada's website. If this is your first time applying for a Social Insurance Number, please review the guidelines as they will tell you the necessary pieces of identification required to obtain a Social Insurance Number and the process for application.
Required Payroll Forms:
Payroll requires all students to complete a Payroll Information & Direct Deposit Authorization Form. We recommend that all students complete a Federal TD1 Tax Form and a Provincial TD1NS Tax Form to calculate the tax credits available to them. Canada Customs and Revenue Agency (CCRA) provides worksheets (Federal & Provincial) to assist you in determining your allowable tax credits. Further information is available on the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency website.
Who do I contact for help?
Inquiries should first be directed to your immediate supervisor; if they are unable to assist you, then contact the Bi-weekly Payroll Administrator.
